A live mix is influenced by how the audience responds to it. You may be wearing them out too quickly, or you may want to drastically switch things up a little. Having "suggestions" on what the next track could be, allows you to choose between keeping the mix rolling, going to a high-profile track or take the crowd down deep. After linking quite a few tracks you will have a network of links that allow you to change the mood of the mix depending on the response from the audience, using tracks that all mix really well into one another.
