3 Ups and 1 Down from yesterday’s win over the Atlanta Falcons I’m not sure the hearts around Who Dat Nation can take too many games like that.In what was another roller-coaster of a game with plenty of ups and downs along the way White Morten Andersen Jersey , here are a couple that stood out.Jason Getz-USA TODAY SportsUp: Drew BreesLet’s get this one out of the way.Drew Brees is one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game. Brees now owns the all-time career completions record, breaking Brett Favre’s record midway through the second quarter. All in all for the day, Brees finished the game 39 for 49 for 396 passing yards and 3 passing TDs. He also added two touchdowns on the ground, including the game-tying score and the game-winning score in overtime. Brees has a huge day.Photo by Scott Cunningham/Getty ImagesUp: Michael ThomasAnother Saints player who had a big day was Michael Thomas.Thomas was on the receiving end of Drew’s record-breaking pass, but also made NFL history himself, logging more receptions through a season’s first three games than any other player in history.Thomas failed to find the end zone in Week 3, but crossed the century mark in yardage again, catching 10 balls for 129 yards. Thomas was able to rebound after back-to-back games to open the season with costly fumbles, and held on to the ball all game, showing his usual awareness of the sticks, fighting for key first downs.#CantGuardMikeChuck Cook-USA TODAY SportsUp: Taysom HillWhat can’t Taysom Hill do?After making an impact last week in the return game, Taysom made an even bigger impact this week on two different read options plays. On each play, Taysom converted key third downs to extend drivers Bobby Hebert Jersey 2019 , and but for an illegal horse-collar tackle, Taysom could have taken a run to the house.Sean Payton also went on the record in his post-game press conference saying he was impressed with Tayom’s ability as a blocker. At this rate, we’ll see Taysom as a tight end, cornerback, and ticket usher by midseason.Photo by Daniel Shirey/Getty ImagesDown: CornerbacksEvery Saints cornerback not named Marshon Lattimore had issues in Week 3.Ken Crawley was benched to start the game in favor of PJ Williams. Williams was burnt so badly by Calvin Ridley, Williams is just a pile of ashes now. Crawley was injected back into the starting lineup for the second half, and it was just more of the same.Patrick Robinson left the game due to injury. Marshon Lattimore looked to take a step forward, but he was rarely targeted in the game.No matter what, the Saints will have to do something at cornerback before facing Odell Beckham Jr. and the New York football Giants in Week 4. What is Bashaud Breeland doing right now? How is Delvin Breaux doing in Canada? Keenan Lewis still playing on the playground? It’s a pretty common occurrence for fans and analysts to make bold predictions about a game or season. If the prediction doesn’t come true, then that’s OK - you said it was bold!
