The rumors connecting the Broncos to quarterback prospect have been piling up recently and we have yet another to add to that list. According to Brian Neuner, the Denver Broncos and Head Coach Vic Fangio are doing their homework on quarterback, Drew Lock, and have talked to NFL veteran Justin Smith about Lock. Heuner who I am assuming is getting this information from Justin Smith, says that Fangio reached out to Smith about Lock and asked how he felt about the former Missouri quarterback. Smith, who is also a Missouri grad and played for Fangio in San Francisco apparently told him that he believes Lock is the best quarterback in the draft. Obviously, there is some likely bias here, but Fangio apparently trusts Smith’s opinion enough to ask. As I said, Smith who played 14 seasons in the NFL and totaled 880 tackles, 87 sacks, and 17 forced fumbles during his career finished out his career playing for Fangio.
